Sean Walsh is the Director of Physical Therapy at Anchor Spine and Joint, initiating the program in February 2024. He joins the Anchor Spine and Joint team after opening Tom Brady’s TB12 Sports and Performance Center in Tampa, FL in 2020. While working at TB12, he assisted numerous Tampa Bay Buccaneers players, keeping them healthy and on the field to cement their 2021 Super Bowl victory.
He is a two-time graduate of the University of Connecticut, finishing his bachelor’s degree in Allied Health and Sciences in 2014, and their Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2017. Sean was the Vice President of his Physical Therapy program, executing various class-related tasks throughout his tenure at UConn. Sean is also involved in the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), maintaining his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) specialization to help his clientele better understand their training regimens.
During Sean’s tenure at the University of Connecticut, he was a student athlete for the indoor and outdoor track and field teams. Sean competed in the multi-event discipline, participating in the heptathlon and decathlon from 2010-2015. Sean was a two-year captain during his competitive seasons, helping the team win multiple championships in his 5 years of competition
Sean utilizes his athletic background, both in competition and in patient care, to help ensure top-notch care is delivered to his clientele. He is most passionate about pain science, and ensuring each patient has a clear understanding of their diagnosis and plan of care to drive ideal outcomes.
