Khyra George, a Tampa native, has been an integral part of the Anchor Spine & Joint physical therapy department since July 2024. Khyra graduated Magna cum Laude with a B.S. in Health, Human Performance and Physical Education with concentration in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida. Discovering her passion for rehabilitation, she continued her education at South University, becoming a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant.
Khyra found her passion for human kinetics and performance through an extensive dancing career. She has been dancing since she was 9 years old, and has participated and taught ballet, tap, jazz, and more through her experience working in a technical dance studio. Her experience as a dancer led her to a multitude of injuries, and gave her first-hand knowledge of managing and treating a gamut of injuries.
Khyra’s athletic experience is exemplified in her healthcare career, where she strives to provide an intensive, total body approach to fitness, rehabilitation, and wellness. Her skillset provided her the opportunity to work at House of Athlete in Tampa, widely known as one of the top professional sports training facilities in the US, with various NFL, MLB, and NBA athletes. Her knowledge and experience are of immense value to her patients at Anchor Spine and Joint.
